This workshop will feature some of WILLiFEST 2015's participating filmmakers who will discuss a variety of challenges, ranging from the technical aspects of filmmaking to production logistics, location scouting, and the
casting process.

Our confirmed panelists include:

Ben DolphinBen Dolphin
Ben’s work combines art, science and advertising. A native New Yorker, he directs and shoots Tabletop & Live Action TV Commercials on five continents.

A master of High Speed and all Effects Driven Visuals, he is accomplished in blending Live Action and CGI Elements. 

Ben’s work has won 2 Emmys, an Addy and a Silver AD&D award. His work is characterized by a powerful sense of energy and design in movement. His dance background as a choreographer influences his commercial work. His work demonstrates a consistent level of quality and depth of experience in filming liquids very few can rival.

Ben also directs Documentaries and Dance Films that have been featured in the Lincoln Center Dance on Camera Festival and the New Museum of Contemporary Art in NYC. Having been in the companies of Alvin Ailey and Twyla Tharp, he danced @ Lincoln Center 2013, 2014 & 2015 with the Buglisi Dance Theatre.

He founded production company ARISING film & digital in NYC in 2008 to serve the US Market and regularly directs and produces several national campaigns featuring Live Action and Tabletop.

Ben's short film Arising will screen at Videology at 6:30pm following this panel discussion (Saturday, September 26th).


 

Tony BabcockTony Babcock
Tony Babcock has been working in the entertainment industry for over 15 years. As an actor, he can be seen/heard in many productions including; E! Network’s "FINAL 24," Cartoon Network's "BEYBLADE: SHOGUN STEEL," the upcoming TV series, "SCARED STIFF" and "IRL: The Series." Recently Tony produced and acted in the film "Six Degrees Without Separation" which premiered at "The Paterson Falls Film Festival" in New Jersey, "AGAPE" (with Pompeii's Emmanuel Kabongo), which screened at the "S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase" in Los Angeles, and STRANGERS ON BENCH (with Award Winning Director Mark Datuin of MAD Resilience Films) which screened at the Milledgeville Film Festival" in Atlanta, Georgia.

His short film Treatment will screen at Williamsburg Cinemas at 3:00pm on Friday, September 25th and on Saturday, September 26th at 10:30pm.


 

Thomas CznartyThomas Cznarty
Thomas Cznarty, an award winning filmmaker and media producer, began his career in television and film, whilst earning his B.S. in Film and Photography at The Park School of Communications at Ithaca College. Thomas furthered his education by getting his MFA in Media Arts Communications while attending City University of New York.

Thomas has worked on the PBS series "History Detectives" and the BBC series "Clash of the Choirs." He was a camera operator for the PBS documentary "Upaj." Thomas’s documentary, "After the Sweat Dries" won "Best Documentary" award at the Kingston Film Festival in 2014 as well as an "Accolade Award" from the Accolade Film, Television and New Media Competition and an "Award of Merit Special Recognition" at the 2015 Indie Fest Film Awards. His other documentary, "Uneasy Sisters: Voodoo and Christianity in New Orleans" won a 2014 "Telly" and a 2015 "Communicator Award."

Currently living in Newburgh, New York, Thomas is a lecturer in the Digital Media and Journalism department at the State University of New York at New Paltz.

After the Sweat Dries will screen at Williamsburg Cinemas on Friday, September 25th at 1:00pm.



Joseph EuloJoseph Eulo
Joseph is an independent storyteller and freelance filmmaker working and studying in the Greater New York City Area.

He is the founder and CEO of First Frame Films, a collaborative production and design company based in Brooklyn made up of a diverse group of artists, actors, and filmmakers who share a passion for creating meaningful work that moves, entertains, and informs audiences. In 2010 he also founded the Garden State Filmmakers Association, and the Indie Film Collective of New Jersey and Greater New York.

Joseph is an experienced producer, director, DoP, sound mixer, and editor of narrative, documentary, music video, and commercial projects. He enjoys collaborating with other artists who share his interest in creating meaningful work.

Joseph is currently pursuing a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Cinematography at The Brooklyn CUNY Feirsten Graduate School of Cinema at Steiner Studios, and completing his Masters of Arts degree at New School in Media Management and Film production.

Joseph's film Meet the Girls, part of the Trafico series, will screen at Videology on Saturday, September 26th at 6:30pm.


Ryan CollinsRyan Collins
Born and raised in the Carolinas (including a 4 year stint at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts), Ryan moved to New York in 2008. Working as an editor and sound recordist for 6 years, he finally produced and directed his first feature film, Bar Songs, in 2014. He has spent more time than he can remember watching bad TV, swilling booze, playing Ultimate Frisbee, and following the Detroit Pistons.

Bar Songs will screen at Videology on Friday, September 26th at 6:30pm.

Charlii, born in London, is a true resident of the world with a British Accent that will have you laughing for days. In addition to being An On-Camera Host/Executive Producer, he is a talented Singer/Songwriter (a former Warner Bros. Recording Artist) who charted on the French Chart's No.1 NRJ RADIO Station.

Charlii is also a Certified Chef who graduated with Jamie Oliver from the prestigious & world renowned Westminster College University, UK where he was taught by the likes of Gordon Ramsey. He is a featured chef on Food Network - USA, StyleTV Network - UK, and in commercial airings as far and wide as Asia, United Arab Emirates, and Africa. He has worked in Mumbai, India and in Tel Aviv, Israel which is one of his most favorite places.

Additionally Charlii has been featured in advertising campaigns for industry leaders like Apple, McDonald's, Levi's, Virgin, Budweiser, MTV, Bloomberg, and others. You can catch "2 minutes on Charlii" here.
