WILLiFEST 2012 will take place from September 20-23, 2012 throughout Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The Wi Music Series starts on Monday, September 17th at The Trash Bar.   Opening Night @ IndieScreen
   289 Kent Avenue (at South 2nd Street)


Our opening night screening will take place at IndieScreen on Thursday, September 20, 2012.

IndieScreen is an entertainment space located on the Southside of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It features a comfortable, high tech digital cinema; a full bar and a well-equipped kitchen.

Our film line-up for the evening is a music video, a short and a feature film. Q&A with attending filmmakers will follow.

Knitting Factory Event
The Knit will return this year as one of our screening venues for films and premieres. The Saturday Night concerts, as part of our Wi Music Series, feature Laetitia Sadier of StereoLab and opening for her, Orca Team. Knitting Factory Interior Tickets are available on the Knitting Factory website.

The legendary Knitting Factory moved to Williamsburg four years ago after 21 years in the Tribeca section of Manhattan where it gained an international reputation for its eclectic, finger-on-the-pulse aesthetic in music. The Knitting Factory also has locations in Boise (Idaho), Spokane (Washington) and Reno (Nevada).

  Film Screenings @ El Puente

El Puente has been a close partner of WILLiFEST from the beginning. And now this beautiful venue will host film screenings throughout the festival that focus on family, society and environment.

As the largest Hispanic community organization in New York City, El Puente does remarkable work to promote social justice and the arts, often using one to promote the other.

  Film Screenings @ UnionDocs

UnionDocs is a Center for Documentary Art that generates and shares big ideas.

They bring together a diverse community of experimental media-makers, dedicated journalists, critical thinkers, and local partners on a search for urgent expressions of the human experience, practical perspectives on the world today, and compelling visions for the future. Our Documentary Programs will play in their newly renovated and expanded HD theater.

  Filmmakers' Lounge & Headquarters @ Sandbox Underground
   257 Grand Street (at Roebling Street)

Sandbox 257 After a successful first year collaboration, we will be back again at the centrally located Sandbox Underground which acts as the WILLiFEST Headquarters and Filmmakers' Lounge during the festival. Sandbox Underground is a cool and casual lounge in the heart of Williamsburg. Couches, wall-mounted monitors and snack machines are just some of the comforts of this lounge where filmmakers can kick back and relax, prepare for their screenings and network amongst each other.

  Wi Music Series @ The Trash Bar
The Trash Bar   256 Grand Street (btwn Driggs and Roebling)

WILLiFEST will be holding its concert series starting on Monday, September 17th at The Trash Bar in Williamsburg.

Completely rebuilt, Trash has turned itself into a band friendly, high quality music venue. The Trash Bar has an impressive staged venue in the back. Already home to rock shows that will go down in NYC live music lore, Trash's driving primary goal is to have a great sounding room with great sounding live bands.

 Production/Finance Panel @ The Grand VictoryThe Grand Victory
  245 Grand Street (btwn Driggs & Roebling)

WILLiFEST will be holding its Production 101: Finance to Distribution panel this year on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at one of our new venue partners The Grand Victory on Grand Street in Williamsburg. 

The Grand Victory is a great cocktail bar and music venue. They feature local and national bands, dance parties, comedy and more and now industry panels for creatives and entrepreneurs.
