WILLiFEST Welcomes National Grid

National GridWILLiFEST is proud to announce new sponsor and environmental content partner National Grid. National Grid worked with us to create our first-ever environmental content block, “The Green Screen Presented by National Grid,” which will be exhibited free-to-the-public at El Puente Arts Center on Saturday, September 22nd at 4:00pm.

National Grid, a leading electricity and gas company that connects consumers to energy sources through its networks, is at the heart of one of the greatest challenges facing our society - to create new, sustainable energy solutions for the future and developing an energy system that underpins economic prosperity in the 21st century. National Grid holds a vital position at the center of the energy system and it ‘joins everything up’. In the northeast US, National Grid connects more than seven million gas and electric customers in New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island to vital energy sources essential for our modern lifestyles.

WILLiFEST looks forward to a powerful partnership with National Grid!

WILLiFEST welcomes the new Nets to Brooklyn

Brooklyn NetsWe are proud to welcome the Nets to Brooklyn and have them as our new 2012 partner. The Brooklyn Nets will participate in our annual block party by bringing out their 40-foot mobile unit, The EXPERIENCE.

An original member of the American Basketball Association (ABA), the Nets were founded in 1967 as the New Jersey Americans. In 1968, they moved to Long Island, NY and played as the New York Nets. They won two ABA championships in New York before becoming one of four ABA teams to be admitted into the NBA as part of the ABA-NBA merger in 1976. In 1977, the Nets moved back to New Jersey and became the New Jersey Nets.

On April 13, 2012, the NBA Board of Governors unanimously approved the team's relocation to the Barclays Center, a new arena in Brooklyn. The move became official on April 30, 2012, and the team was renamed the Brooklyn Nets.

We look forward to a long relationship with this great new addition to Brooklyn culture.
