Hailing from the suburbs of New Jersey and the son of music legend Charles Smith, co-founder of Kool & The Gang, J-MELLO preaches that privilege is not all it's cracked up to be. Somewhere between hip hop and pop music, J-Mello brings you beyond the typical topics of hard streets, women, and party anthems. His songs and lyrics paint a clear picture of a life of struggle and strife but it has finally paid off. J-Mello has been rocking stages across the country, touring with music legends DJ Skribble and Dave Navarro. Mello's slick flow coupled with Navarro's thrashing guitar, and Skribble's turntable skills bring a new dimension to this suburban kid's already innovative take on the world. NINEVEH ROAD has constructed a musical soundscape that boasts a wide range of influences from Hootie & The Blowfish and Earth, Wind & Fire to Seal and Dave Matthews Band. Their music challenges convention by creating a sound that no one has heard yet, but all are deeply endeared to its familiarity. THE WAITERS OF HAPPYNESS have one mission in life, helping funksters get off of their thing. You know like a sex machine. Jamie Ambler, founder of the group, has been playing and writing music since he was 12. He was raised in the North of England and after school in Cape Town, he decided to get a “real job,” so he used his art talents to become a graphic designer. All the time he was doing the ad thing, he played music. Moving to New York's Harlem section with his wife, performer Raiza Said, he formed the band. The Waiters are passionate performers who care deeply about their music and want to keep it out there in the public ear! |
